Quote:
{2:127} And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.

The interjection "with him" implies that Ishmael may not have participated in the raising of the Ka`ba. The Arabic verse clearly adds Ishmael to Abraham, peace be upon them, in the endeavor. I suggest,

{2:127} And [mention] as Abraham is raising the foundations of the House and [so is] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."

Quote:
{2:128} Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

This is a good example of the difference between using square brackets for word flow and using parentheses for explanatory notes. I'd use parentheses here in place of the two instances of square brackets, because they explain what Muslim means. I suggest,

{2:128} "Our Lord, and make us Muslims (submitting) to You and from our offspring a community submitting to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Verily, You are the Oft-Accepting of repentance, the Merciful."

Quote:
{2:129} Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

I suggest,
{2:129} "Our Lord, and send off among them a messenger from themselves, [who] recites to them Your verses, teaches them the Book and wisdom and purifies them. Verily, You are the Almighty, the Wise."
